Many TCP optimization algorithms report their performance improvements using CUBIC as their baseline. Will be very interesting to see how TCP optimization vendors adapt to the new Bottleneck Bandwidth & RTT patch. From an industry viewpoint, I wonder how this will perform over traditionally higher-latency and higher-loss wireless networks. As an aside, I love how small the patch is, weighing in at 875 LOC including comments.
