I thought recently it would be nice if there were a website that serves as a central authority to evaluate the truth of various claims. This would save a lot of time that is wasted discussing the same stupid claims again and again. If this site were organized in a similar way to wikipedia, maybe it could gain similar trust over time. "Obama was born outside the US" - "no, this has a truth value of 0 on webclaims.org, so most likely it is false". Obviously, the site would present evidence and the reasoning that led to its conclusion and would enable people to contest it if they find a mistake.
