I learned that many of the entrepreneurs on the show aren't even true applicants. A friend of mine works for a small company that's experienced rapid growth and a lot of publicity - there is a team at Shark Tank's production co that are aggressively trying to get them on the show. The sad reality is that it's not even about applying and catching a break anymore... I'm not surprised.. it's TV. That said, I think this guy's story sounds fishy.
