The biggest issue with dynamic programming for me is refactoring code. I feel very confident when refactoring a static code-base. With a dynamic code-base it 's much more risky - to the point where I avoid. Of course having great test coverage helps alleviate this, but it's very rare where a large project has 100% test coverage.
