In what way is the 3GS non-jailbreakable?

  It's jailbreakable but its a tethered jailbreak, which is not very useful... Imagine having to reboot your phone when you dont have access to your laptop ==> No phone till you get home. If an un-tethered jailbreak becomes avaiable I would upgrade in a heart-beat.
