We have .. both. I think it works better than it sounds. We 'get' 10 sick days per year. If we require more than 3 consecutively, we need a doctor's note. If we require more after those 10, we need a doctor's note (even if it's 1 non-consecutive day). I guess I get it .. there needs to be some catch to stop the system being abused. But at the same time .. if it's too low, the employer is abusing us.
