Free healthcare at the point of use won't survive in the long term. Too little funding and too much use. There's no negative externality from people abusing it.
- pjc50 10y agoI think this is a myth being put around by private healthcare providers. The overall cost is not too high - it's much cheaper than the US system - and the main users are the elderly. I'm also not sure what constitutes "abuse" of the system; it's not like people enjoy being in hospital.
