- jsmthrowaway 10y agoIt's common to bring in the old discussion for perspective. Nothing to do with it being a repost. (Both of those links are alternative treatments anyway.)

From the FAQ: > Are reposts ok? > If a story has had significant attention in the last year or so, we kill reposts as duplicates. If not, a small number of reposts is ok.
- DanBC 10y agoThat person isn't saying "this is a repost". They're saying "you might find these earlier conversations, and the submissions they link to, interesting."
