- ank_the_elder 10y agoYet more ignorance of history. The word Palestine comes from 'Peleshet' which means 'Philistine.' The Philistines were mediterranean people originating from Asia Minor and Greek localities. The Philistines were not Arabs nor even Semites, they were most closely related to the Greeks. They did not speak Arabic. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs. Hence "so-called Palestinians." EDIT: Again, downvoting without discussing doesn't help your cause. Feel free to reply and leave clear citations and facts. I'll wait.
- gakada 10y agoI guess I'm a "so-called Londoner". I'm not in the slightest bit Roman!
- ank_the_elder 10y agoAn English person speaking English in England? What a miracle!
