Maybe I'm just an incredibly responsible person (I'm not), but I've had bluetooth earbuds (the Bragi Dash) for six months and not once have I come close to losing them. I take them out of my ears, they go into the case.
The AirPod has a lot riding against it in my opinion, but loseability is not one of those things.
