I also use the cloud version and find it painfully slow.
We have probably less than 200 issues logged at my company. We have 3 users for ourselves, and another 3 for customers to report issues. It's a second or two for every single bit of navigation on the site, and absolutely ages for a search.
So, have Atlassian configured their own software badly?

I'm not sure which line to believe more... > So, have Atlassian configured their own software badly? It.. sounds like they do? We have thousands of issues across over a dozen projects, and 50+ users (probably 20 or so concurrent at peak usage.) The only lag I've ever seen is a few seconds to do a complex JQL search. Otherwise it's milliseconds between pages.
