I've been doing that for a while for dropbear ssh, it does hit occasional problems but is overall more pleasant than straight git.
- Siecje 10y agoI've had problems with tags. What else have caused you problems?
- mkj 10y agoMainly when I've merged a pull request on github, didn't pull to mercurial, then did some branching in mercurial. Eventually have always managed to sort it out, but sometimes requires a bit of push/pull fiddling. Now you mention it my git tags are out of date...
- coldpie 10y agoTo each his own, of course. As a Git aficionado, I find Mercurial utterly baffling. Branches are permanent and global? You have to clone the repo to make a new thing I would call a branch? "hg log" shows you things that are not in the history of your current source tree? Mind boggling. :)
