Tim Cook, Stop Annoying Your Customers
- nimish 10y agoIf someone is price-sensitive to the point of wanting $1 headphones, why would they pay for a premium phone like the iPhone? His thesis doesn't make sense. And you get lightning headphones in the box.
- Waterluvian 10y agoAmateur blog SnR gets particularly bad for a while after apple presentations.
- collyw 10y agoPlenty of iPhones get handed down 18 months later when the purchasers contract is up.
- zamalek 10y agoWhat about someone who already owns a set of, say, Sennheisers; where cost-to-consumer actually reflects the manufacturing costs?
- brudgers 10y agoI keep a spare set of earbuds in the car and another by the bed and another in my laptop bag and some more in the other car. In addition to the pair I that lives in the living room. The reasons: earbud management isn't my hobby and having spares solves other people's earbud management challenges. I suspect the earbud management challenges are only going to be exacerbated by the swap in connectors [when someone forgets their earbuds, odds are they'll be dongleless to boot] and by the push toward self powering. Anyway, I buy earbuds in bulk because in my neck of the woods earbuds are morea consumable than fine jewelry...and I'd rather spend jewelry money on jewelry anyways.
