In Japan you're not mentally ill, you're a recluse. In Russia you're not homosexual, you're a paedophile. Doesn't this simply illustrate the awful way in which human beings are treated -- by countries slightly more backward than those that, at least, acknowledge the existence of mental illness, or sexuality? (BTW:I'm not equating sexuality with mental illness, but the way certain things are ignored, or labelled/conflated.)
