- 72deluxe 10y agoBy what comparison? Security? Being able to browse for files? Ability to back up SMS messages? Updates?
- SalimoS 10y agoSimple of use ?? I don't think I need to browse for files on smartphone! Guess talking about security need he's own thread(like, guess your phone maker pushed the last patch created by Google , you know:Stagefright) Sums backup we don't need it , we have iMessage And we can't have a company that create a new message and video chat app every eye are and two But seriously are talking about OS updates ?? Seriously? I'm still using my iPhone 4S on iOS 9
- riotdash 10y agoSecurity on iOS on lightyears ahead of Android in all aspects and because of the fundamental design of Android it will not change in the near future if ever. Other things I might add: efficieny of usage, performance, UX, hardware design, development of software (for us devs), privacy, quality of app store etc.
- konart 10y agoAs an ex-Android user and ex-QA guy for some of the Android software: by the "things work as they should (i.e. as you expect them to work), without lags or bugs that can drive you mad". One of my ex-collegues is now working for one of the android-phone manufactures and by his words the whole process of creating the the new device is basically trying make shit work good enough to pass Google's tests (something is going wrong with hardware? fuck it, we'll fix it in software later), then releasing a bunch of patches, then new phone, because nobody will ever invest their time into makeing the currect device to work with new Google's test. It just won't.
