Is that Linux man page ever going to be corrected?

  Given that those man-pages are a community open source project much like the kernel, the best way to see it fixed is to contribute a fix: https://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/contributing.html https://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/contributing.html

    In this case, that's far from true. Many people have contributed correct documentation. Whoever is in charge of these things continually rejects it because of their mistaken beliefs about PRNGs.
