Wow seriously ? and that person who got Doug unvinvited talks about "inclusivity" while shitting on Christians and getting people kicked out ? I'm not going to that conference that's certain. The person who got Doug uninvited is just despicable. I'm christian myself.
How can one brag about "inclusivity" while saying this kind of crap? hypocrisy at its finest. I hope it backfires.
This conference needs to be cancelled for the sake of the tech community.
- wayniac 10y agoYou don't get it: To SJWs like that person, it's only inclusive when it's minorities. These are the same idiots who constantly say how you can't be racist against whites, you can't be sexist against men, and everything under the sun all the while being racist against whites and sexist against men in order to justify their vilifying and outright calling for witch hunts against "normal" people. That's how they operate. By "inclusive" they mean to everyone but the normal demographic (i.e. typically straight white males), the typical attendees can fuck off as far as they're concerned because of "a history of oppression" or whatever bullshit they spout out relating to misunderstood and often completely wrong anecdotes. By "inclusive" they want a kindergarten-esque safe space where they will be protected from hearing anything that they don't want to hear, and therefore pretending it doesn't exist. Crockford's only "crime" here was to make a comment that someone felt was "slut shaming" as if that should have any relevance at all to a tech conference and as a result started an internet shitstorm which sadly had the organizers of the conference kowtow to for some unknown reason.
