Lady Gaga (and her handlers) has everything to do with hacking. Hacking pop music. That is explicitly what she is trying to do. In that context, a story about the meaning of her work (that your thoughts are controlled), is really interesting.

You're trolling, right? Everything I say is from my point of view.

- jacquesm 17y agoYes, she's 'hacking' just like that great 'hacker' Michael Jackson, and the Captain of the Greenpeace boat that sunk who was 'hacking the law'. These are all interesting ways to try to stretch the definition of 'hacking' so something will be palatable for HN, but the fact is that they have absolutely nothing to do with it. Wikileaks is an internet phenomenon with many real world effects, is newsworthy and not just entertainment. So in spite of my apparently losing the 'moderation' I stand by this article being about a hundred times more applicable to HN than the lady gaga article.
