And because most of the US believe anything they see on TV without question, the government gets some semblance of control. The same thing happened with bitcoin, tor, Marijuana, etc. Basically anything that hasn't or can't be heavily monetized and taxed without upsetting some other company. I bet if some large corporation came out with it, the government would have no problems. Because they could probably convince that company to let them monitor everything
