We Haven’t Seen Many Storms Like Hermine
- greenyoda 10y ago"a hurricane that has transitioned to a post-tropical cyclone, one that is forecast to transition back into a hurricane" The forecast from the National Hurricane Center seems to have changed (as of 5:00 pm EDT) - they're now saying Hermine is going to remain a post-tropical storm rather than changing to a hurricane: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov http://www.nhc.noaa.gov For the latest forecast, click on the red icon labeled "Hermine". Note that the letters in the circles are all "S" (for "storm") now; before, a couple of them were "H" (for "hurricane"). They define a storm as winds up to 73 mph and a hurricane as winds exceeding 73 mph.
