When you refer to what an artist or producer is doing, you may be talking about a different kind of compression (dynamic range compression) than this topic covers (data compression). I don't want artists or producers having any say in audio encoding formats – because the audio encoding format should be transparent and therefore have zero impact on the actual artwork.
