CSS Techniques
- bluesmoon 17y agoIt also has links to Javascript techniques
- uggedal 17y agomy most useful css technique: sort properties alphabeticaly within a selector.
- JoelSutherland 17y agoI sort them logically. I want width and height next to each other for example. I use this order roughly: display, position, margin/padding, border, width/height, text properties, z-index
- mcantor 17y agoWhy?
- niekmaas 17y agoFor selectors I have this order: - display - z-index - width - height - margin - padding - border - font/text - background Reasoning: I first want to define where and why an element is displaced at a certain position. I than work from the outside to the inside for styling. Lastly I define the background. I tried to have some logic but keep it a little easy to use to. ( I dont put the border in between margin and padding)
- edd 17y agoThese smashing magazine articles really annoy me. I have learnt not to click them as I know they frustrate me but I thought I would try this one to see if they have got any better recently. But no, clicking through the 'techniques' I just kept hitting the same sites on different articles. So I thought I would do a little checking, from the article: 10 from http://css-tricks.com 5 from http://cssglobe.com 3 from http://zurb.com 3 from http://www.sohtanaka.com 3 from http://buildinternet.com Half of the 'techniques' from only 5 different sites!
- benologist 17y agoYou must be new to teh internetz. The most profitable article a professional blogger or online publication can produce is one that doesn't involve them producing anything at all. Just ask Engadget.
- csomar 17y agoyou must be new to writing with English in the Internet
- kilian 17y agoThis is why I mostly just ignore these kind of posts. They're just noise.
