You need leverage, but you need a lot of other things, too. Feeling comfortable negotiating, for one. Given that we're an industry that trends toward the introverted side, that may be hard to come by.
- mixedCase 10y agoIt's an acquired skill like any other. Sure, social butterflies are more likely to be better at it than the rest of us, but we can still learn it. We owe it to ourselves to overcome our own nature if we want to get what we want.
