My point was that a crash would be a big enough event that the latest batch of YC startups wouldn't stop it, and one data point doesn't invalidate the broader criticism of SV over the last five years or so. Of course, there may be global factors that could impact a crash in SV. But if the SV tech economy crashes (which is what we're talking about here), I think most blame will fall on local rather than global factors.
