There is also swing and javafx if you want to use jvm.
- Cyph0n 10y agoJavaFX is amazing, but I'm not sure how it holds up when an app gets complex.
- WoodenChair 10y agoI think a bigger problem is that less and less end users have the JVM installed.
- gschrader 10y agoJavaFX also has support to bundle a JRE with its native installer support, it can build a exe, msi, dmg etc. The bigger issue is Oracle not really giving it the proper attention.
- mushiake 10y agoYou can use javapackager.
- invalidname 10y agoDid you try to using it in production? It's flaky at best...
- StreamBright 10y agoAny source to this?
- Cyph0n 10y agoEven if it were true, you can easily bundle a JRE with your app, which is what Oracle recommends actually. In the end, it still ends up being smaller in size than a Electron/NW.js app.
- StreamBright 10y agoI think it is not true at all. And yes you are probably better off with bundling.
- orbitur 10y agoI've never seen a Java-based app on the Mac that didn't look slightly wrong.
