- ramtatatam 10y agoInteresting point :-) I can share my experience on this one. Not so long time ago I used to make this observation - company's management was asking their employees to take holiday before financial year end. This was not against their will though ;-) they simply could not take their time off before year end because there was always a fire to be fought. Having said that - I am now taking my first holiday since May last year. And again - too many fires to fight :-) I opposed taking holiday because the company wasn't in good shape to afford my time off. It's in very much better shape now and we all can take some time off at last. And again - having said all of that - there was no such message pushed down to my team, they were always taking their time off when they felt like taking it.
- hoodoof 10y agoIt's common policy for a company to require employees to take their leave beyond a certain accumulation. It's good for the financial health of the company but importantly it's good for the employees to be rested. It should be reasonable of course, but yes it makes alot of sense to have a company policy that you can't let leave accumulate beyond a certain amount.
