This is very close to saying the government shouldn't tax anyone, and that people should donate what they feel comfortable with to various causes or departments. Taxes (and tax exemptions/loopholes) are firmly with government.
- hyperliner 10y agoI did not make that point. The point I made is we have a society who expects the federal government to solve problems that society can solve on their own if they really wanted to. I agree some problems can only be solved by the government, for which some amount of tax is needed, but not more than that.
