3/4 pay for 3/4 butt in seat time. Seems like Amazon is getting a great deal here!
- citizenflynn 10y agoIt reads like they still pay full benefits though. This is usually around 20% of salary and makes the comparison unproportional.
- skybrian 10y agoHard to say without doing the experiment. On the one hand, you get more people thinking about the problem for the same amount of money. (And most people do sometimes think about work problems off the clock.) On the other hand, more people means more coordination, communication, and disagreements. There's a reason people like small teams.
- imh 10y agoCompared to the alleged 80 hour norm, it's 3/4 pay for 3/8 of the butt in seat time. If it's truly just 30 hours per week, that's a great deal for the workers!
