Thanks for writing this all up. I have been involved with the cooperative movement for almost 20 years and have worked in tech for over 5. I was at the Platform Cooperative (http://platform.coop http://platform.coop) conference last year here in NYC and it was long on ideology and short on actual HOWTOs. I think it's crucial to have some templates to work from them rather than every org reinventing the wheel. When the orgs are closely aligned in structure it will show more people that there is "another way".
