I totally agree with your comment. I think that the potential of container schedulers will start showing and will become popular. Martin Fowler defined serverless as "bringing entire applications up and down for every request". http://martinfowler.com/articles/serverless.html http://martinfowler.com/articles/serverless.html I don't think that this is what we do with containers, they mostly stay active when there are no requests since they take more than 20ms to boot up.
