Seriously, I think the trolling comment was sarcasism, and your post was actually good advice for the OP.
- jabbernotty 10y agoI get reactions of surprise or even disbelief when people I work with find out that I also enjoy painting and martial arts. This gives the signal that there is something wrong it. I really dislike this sort of comments and thinking. It perpetuates the idea that people who want to work in tech must always be focussed on tech and cannot diverge from that. Not all people want to be that one-dimensional.
