The only thing that will realistically help - aside from massive reforestation efforts or maybe bioengineered algae - is a mass-produced, maintenance-free solid-state artificial photosynthesis module. The problem is, very few people - almost all academics - have even been thinking about such a thing, much less engineering it. So there's enormous amounts of work to do.
