I tried this about a year ago with the hopes of finding a use for an old iPad (was planning on leaving Dash running on the iPad. A dedicated "doc screen"). I found that there is a noticeable latency for older iDevices with 30-pin connectors. This latency seemed to disappear when I substituted a current iPad Air 2. Just something to keep in mind for anyone interested in using Duet.
