I'm an american that lived/worked in Japan for about 10 years. This aspect of healthcare in Japan was hands down my favorite. Just being able to walk into any doctors office and know that my insurance would be accepted. I might be an outlier in that all my of coverage while employed in the U.S. has been fantastic.
