Or just install the backspace extension that reenables this behavior

And give some random developer access to "all my data on all websites". No thanks.

The author of that extension isn't "some random developer". It's provided by Google themselves.

Ah, they must have pushed that out after I was trying to restore this functionality a couple of weeks ago. Previously it was just some random that everyone was linking to.

Yes, I used backspace to return here after reading the thread (using firefox).

They released an extension that you can use to bring it back - "Go Back With Backspace" - for some reason the Chrome store is erroring out when opening it at the moment.

Google's "official" Go Back With Backspace browser extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/go-back-with-backspace/eekailopagacbcdloonjhbiecobagjci https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/go-back-with-backs...

What's the command line option?
- rjbwork 10y ago
  --enable-blink-features=BackspaceDefaultHandler
  - Narishma 10y ago
How new is the option? It doesn't seem to work in the stable version.
