If you can't spend most of the year touring then ignoring streaming and focusing on bandcamp is the way to go. If you want to tour and grow your audience Spotify is essential imo, especially if you're targeting a younger demographic. It's amazing how quickly your music spreads when it hits a playlist (even just a regular users playlist that their friends follow).
