Designer's block (Art Lebedev on where ideas come from)
- sp332 17y agoAnd just in case you doubt Lebedev's originality, try browsing his studio's website. http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/ http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/ I've lost whole days there before.
- nailer 17y agoJust in case you trust it, check out http://www.humanssince1982.com http://www.humanssince1982.com, who did the clock clock, which was published in design mags across the world, about two years before Art Lebedev (who would have had no way of not knowing it existed if they read any industrial design media) copied it.
- theblackbox 17y agoAhmen, I'm aware of my inability to grasp "design" myslf, but it's application by skilled tradespeople always delights me. When I found AL I too spent unreasonable amounts of time trawling through it all! My favourite would have to be the studio lavatories: http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/toilets/ http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/toilets/ Time well spent for time well spent ;)
