- afarrell 10y agoHere is an introduction to the 4th amendment law surrounding wiretapping, drawn by a New York defense attorney: http://lawcomic.net/guide/?p=1704 http://lawcomic.net/guide/?p=1704 Note that it assumes that an investigation is being conducted for the purpose of submitting evidence to a court.
- r_smart 10y agoSorry, I seem to have misunderstood a crucial part of what you were saying, which is: using the data as evidence in court. I also dug around to see if the FBI has any surveillance apparatus like what the NSA is doing and didn't come up with anything credible in the few minutes I looked. They appear capable, but, as of yet, have not started that anyone knows of.
