- TenOhms 10y agoAnd there was a massive groundswell of support within the government to keep 'their team' from losing. Keep in mind the only reason Nixon is such a big deal is because Republicans were equally outraged, at least morally, at what Nixon did. I don't think that would happen today if Obama did something worse and I have my doubts about Republicans too.
