I find all the recent negativity around React-related posts to be very frustrating. I'm a frontend engineer, and I greatly enjoy working with React. But I think that's because I've invested the time needed to learn and navigate the ecosystem. It's true that React doesn't solve all the problems you deal with when building a web app. But I don't think it has ever marketed itself as a "batteries included" solution. It gives you a strong ecosystem and a great abstraction for building UI's.
