I've been using one for a little over a year with frequent OS updates and have had no problems so far. However, setting it up was stressful and each time I apply an OS update I image the drive prior, in case something does go wrong. Once you have it setup, the biggest drag is that you have to be ready to fix the potential damage after each update.
