The term "back door" is so justifiably radioactive that the FBI and their congressional supporters were quick to invent new terms: "Front door" and "Golden key". While I'm not a fan of spin and the torture of language in politics, I will admit that there is a difference between the back and front terms. Both are a shameful intentional weakening of security, but one is almost apologetically secretive and the other is bold in its belligerence.
