Even more off-topic, here's something I don't understand:
- Cheapest home for sale in Atherton on Zillow is listed for $3.2 million
- The public schools shown to be in the same area as this house have unbelievably low scores (as measured by GreatSchools.org):
-- Selby Lane Elementary (assigned) .... 4/10
-- Garfield Elementary ..................2/10
What gives?
- pkaye 10y agoThe wealthy people may send their kids to private schools. The public schools may have students from working class families in adjacent areas in the same school district.
- nibnib 10y agoI wonder if there is a certain level of wealth where school test scores aren't a worry anymore.
- khuey 10y agoPart of Atherton is in the Menlo Park School District and part of it is in the Redwood City School District. The former is considered to be much better than the latter.
