I wonder how they are managing and keeping up with excellent products without right management behind the scene?
- labrador 10y agoIt's a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. Abusing your employees can produce short term benefits. I think the point of the complaints and the growing resistance is the point of the parable of robbing Peter to pay Paul, that it doesn't work out in the long run.
- JustSomeNobody 10y agoHow long is the long run? People been complaining already for a Long time.
- Spooky23 10y agoIMO, it's a part of the API driven culture. If the API is the glue that ties business units together, you don't need as many knowledgable employees who understand the guts of the company -- the company itself is self-documenting.
- berntb 10y agoInteresting thought. If you're guessing correctly, this will probably be the future of the development business.
- fdsaaf 10y agoIt's terrifying that Amazon is doing so well despite treating their employees terribly. Behold, the future of software development! Are we sure we want to keep inflating supply with all this "everyone should code" nonsense?
- FuNe 10y agoThey are at the correct side of the technology (with Cloud) and they excel at the race to the bottom (AKA sucking as employer and paying as little as possible). So are most of the employers in Asia producing excellent gadgets (i.e. FoxConn). The good thing with racing to the bottom is -well- sometime you reach it and then you either have to get better or perish.
