- cynix 10y ago> you never leave your home without your phone even while running. He literally just said he does leave his home without his phone while running.
- hboon 10y agoPart of the pitch is it will also work with an Apple Watch, if the consumer has one, and will likely wear it while running.
- cynix 10y agoDoesn't the Apple Watch require the paired iPhone to be nearby in order to function?
- hboon 10y agoNo, the paired iPhone doesn't need to be around for a few features, including tracking activity and Apple Pay.
- jeremy_wiebe 10y agoIt does. AFAIK, the Touch ID from the phone authenticates Apple Pay transactions from the watch. [edit] I stand corrected. Looks like the watch had a Secure Element also to store the pay info. It automatically locks if you take it off.
- dalore 10y agoHe should take his phone with him, how else will he track his fitness data and steps, and then twitter it as he does?
- mrweasel 10y ago>It gives you freedom, as you never leave your home without your phone even while running. I understand that I might be a special case, but given the option, I would ALWAYS leave my phone at home. I hate that freaking thing.
