This is true for the time being, but there is a small percentage who will switch if the advertising becomes obnoxious past a degree. Several of my non-tech-inclined friends have switched to using only the mobile site (on their own, not from ranting on my part) due to concerns about location tracking, constant notifications, and battery life.
