Ask HN: How do you go about writing a literature review?
I am writing a literature review on stereoscopic 3D displays for a personal project.
My key deliverables are:
* provide an overview of the industry that I can reference later
* summarize key concepts and research findings in the field
* summarize stereo 3D guidelines and their application in 3DTV, 3D cinema, and cinematic VR techniques
This is a hobby project. However, I intend to deliver a 20-page review; the idea is to approach this the same way an industry analyst would while researching a specific vertical/company.
Sadly, I am stuck- I collected all the material that I (think) I need, but I am having a hard time creating a linear narrative.
My question is: what tools, methods, and workflows do you use to review literature for scientific/technical reports?
