Agreed, his sentence doesn't jive. The author obviously doesn't realise that a 371ml coke bottle contains 1.4 litres of carbon dioxide and a square bottle would likely require 4-times the plastic to remain in a square enough shape that it wouldn't affect packaging shape. I don't buy that this bottle would be eco-friendly in the short or long run.
