- no_flags 10y agoTaxi drivers more likely to die from homicide than a traffic accident! That's shocking. I wonder what explains this. Is it armed robberies gone wrong?
- uxp100 10y agoI think that is correct, though I'm not sure if there is anyone who tracks the exact cause, maybe it would surprise us. Last time I heard about a violence against a taxi driver they were shot in the back in a carjacking, and then the assailant was not able to bypass some interlock device to actually restart the cab. So the cab company makes it hard to actually get away with the car, but the driver is probably carrying a lot of cash.
