Monster's P/E ratio yesterday was around 65. Given that the company is far from a high-growth startup, that suggests that this deal isn't cheap. (That's not to say this is a bad deal -- the synergies between online and offline recruitment make sense.)

- martinald 10y agoPretty crazy that such a well know brand still, after all this time, is not making great profits. I would have guessed that monster was a massive unicorn spinning out loads of cash in the fees they charge recruiters, turns out they're not at all.
